Shanghai Old Street

We finally checked out Shanghai Old Street. It had been on my list of places to see for a while. It is a cute main street with the traditional old fashioned buildings occupied by a bunch of knick-knacky little souvenir shops. At this point it mostly had the same stuff we had already seen elsewhere in our China travels. I bought a set of lion shaped door knockers. I think they are really cool… we’ll see if I ever hang them up. After a bit of shopping we found the food street. It was really crowded and kind of dirty. I wasn’t overly impressed with the lunch I got there but I was able to find some vegetarian foods. I don't think I'm likely to go back there often unless I have out of town guests or I need to find people presents.
